Asking a mom to write a bio can be a loaded task. As parents, many of us become so consumed with the day-to-day, it’s easy to lose sight of who we are and all that we do. So who am I? Yes, I am a mom - a proud mom, of three amazing little (or not so little!) boys attending Centre, Marston, and the Acorn Schools in Hampton and Stratham.Local Small Business Owner Building Relationships Through Trust and HonestyI am also the founder and Managing Attorney of a law firm here in Hampton, proudly growing to a team of seven, including five Hampton residents. We work with families, individuals, and small businesses, helping them to protect their assets and care for their loved ones. Our company culture embraces and supports working families and believes in giving back to the local community. Some past and present initiatives include a pro-bono legal clinic for the LGBTQ+ community, donating to area groups and causes such as Exeter Hospital VNA, area schools, and New Generation, and offering complimentary estate planning services for families with loved ones battling addiction.Frequent Volunteer in the Hampton CommunityI am a regular community volunteer, serving four years on the Board of the Hampton PTA and a year on the Board of the Acorn School. In 2020, I initiated and led a collaboration between the PTA and the Chamber of Commerce to find creative solutions to the lack of childcare for families juggling remote schooling and the need to go to work. Through our efforts, we successfully covered the cost of care for every Hampton family who reached out for assistance, raising nearly 15k. With the PTA, we also raised approximately 8k in donations for Gather and the Hampton School Nutrition Program to help local families suffering from food insecurity during the time of school closures. My Mission is to Support Families and Give a Voice to the UnderservedI am also a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. Just a day after the most recent school shooting, I received a call asking if I would consider this run for State Rep. In that moment, I was a heart-broken mom living in a world that felt increasingly hopeless. That call was my answer. I tell my kids not to complain, to take action, so that’s what I’m here to do - to listen, to collaborate, and to get to work.In 2006, I met my husband at a Red Sox game, two years later he proposed at Fenway. The Red Sox will always hold a special place in my heart. And any fan vividly remembers 2004, the year we came from behind to make history and go on a never-before-seen run that led to the World Series. It felt impossible. But the rallying cry - why not us? - has stuck with me all these years.I want a better world for my children, for your children, for all of us - so why not act? My background may not be in politics, but I have a strong history of finding creative solutions to difficult problems. And I believe that when times are tough, we don’t give up, we get to work.
I hope you’ll join me.
